The interior design undergraduate programme at Glasgow School of Art is a four year specialist degree. The first year focus is on developing skills in the dissection and analysis of space, and the articulation of spatial intervention through representation and discussion. In the second year students investigate context and locale as well as the narrative potential of materials. The third year is concerned with exploring the relationship between interior design, other design practice and social engagement. Final year students complete the programme with a self-composed Personal Project, which allows the expression and exploration of particular interests and obsessions.
