For the Small Office Space project, the main focus was to make space for both visiting, clients and the studio partners to feel comfortable. It was important for the small office space project to create a layout with enough space for all the needs of the users, but also to make a creative space for the partners to work and feel comfortable in.

This project gave us the opportunity to vigorously explore and test materiality and to create design solutions to short term inhabited spaces.
I wanted to create a space that was playful and encouraged creativity through shape, colour and texture. I wanted the designers who were inhabiting the office to be able to tailer to their needs through the space and its components. By providing adaptable zones and walls that can be used for their material properties, this allows designers to make the space their own.

The aim of this project was to create an open and vibrant office space for the designers to work comfortably and efficiently.
In order to allow the designers to move around easily and take some elements of the design with them after a short term lease, the design is simple, with a high degree of flexibility. Great amounts of storage space was created to store works and documents. Sliding magnetic whiteboard partitions are designed as a space divider, and also create an environment for collaboration and exploring ideas between colleagues.

I aimed to design a small office space that would function for a variety of different uses, and provide a creative working environment for 2-4 designers. 4 modular OSB ‘corner’ units can be moved across the floor, providing privacy/hiding office equipment and can be totally removed for social functions. The outcome was a changeable creative workspace that was affordable for young designers.

I wanted to design an office space that promotes creativity. The focuses of my design are flexibility and playfulness. I designed a space that can be transformed easily with moveable walls. The people using the space can modify the interior according to their current needs. Also most of the furniture is multifunctional.

For Small Office, I created a brand palette by selecting a variety of textiles, which became the foundation of the space’s atmosphere. My main objective delineating the various zones required of an office space, without building walls. Flexible elements such as wooden frames and fabric partitions were used to divide the space. The heart of the design - desks, frames, wall storage, custom partitions - were designed so that if the office moved, the designers could bring them along.
